Time Well Spent

While many are looking for their winter gear to face the sub zero temps out on the lake and streams, others, like myself are spending our time preparing for the warmer weather. If you are looking for winter worthy activities and projects that can be done around the fire, and away from the cold, here are three things that you can start with:

1. Fly tying - This is time well spent. You can save a few dollars, and in the spring time, you will be able to brag and be proud that the record fish you caught was on the fly that you tied.

2. Fly Rod building - Not many people do it, but you can save some money and take pride in the satisfaction in the craftsmanship of your work.

3. Surf the web - Most of will spend time surfing the web looking for deals on fly fishing equipment and studying Google maps to discover a new fishing hole!
